Made in our home studio on the Central Coast NSW Australia, natural dyed silk rayon velvet is bundled and cooked with local foraged and found leaves flowers berries, food waste like onion skins, herbs and ground roots and bark.
We have two pink floral with earthy over tones and one silver olive with pink and gold over tones in ths batch of boleros.
They’re a free style and best fit a 8-14 with 3/4 sleeve.
The fabric is bundled and cooked for around 6 hours and washed scoured and mordanted before rinsing and dyeing. Than gathered local materials that have been collected over time and tested for colour fastness is applied, the timing and heat with curing and care in sewing with minimum waste is sued to create these one of a kind pieces. Than finally washed and ironed before resting in house to be found by its long time carer and wearer.
