Alot of my process since last summer has been in the exploration of Eco Dying Natural Fabrics and using them for the minimum waste design pieces.
The alchemy and magic that happens with the transference of all the plant colour onto the natural fabrics, infuses all the healing essence and energy into the pieces that become garments.
That energy you carry and wear, which is absorbed into your skin is very powerful and forfilling.
I'm excited to share Forage, Flower and Fold Natural Dyeing Workshop.
Inconjunction with The Olive Tree Market hosted at Maitland Regional Art Gallery.
Join me Jo from Inside Jo. B Textile Studio to discover how to use flowers, native fauna from your neighbourhood and healing herbs, food scraps from your kitchen to Naturally Dye fabric.
A playfully inspiring two hour workshop where Natural Dyeing basics will be shared on how to Bundle Eco Dye and create with plants.
All the raw materials and a Pure Silk Scarf 45 x 160cm will be provided to decorate in all natural delightful colours, patterns and digital notes.
Feel free to bring your own local foraged materials to mark the scarf.
If time allows we will also Eco Dye your own T-shirt or a singlet from home.(Natural fabrics only and pre-washed).
It will be such a inspiring morning leaving you with new knowledge and a Silk Natural Dyed Scarf to gift to your self or a loved one totally worth the $85 investment
